Though small, Goose Lake has an excellent reputation among fly-fishers throughout North America. The lake is artificially aerated to keep trout healthy through the winter months. Rainbows up to 76 cm (30 inches) have been documented here.
Three historical buildings are on the property: the restored Elaschuk House, a designated provincial heritage site, features a thatched roof and clay walls and contains pioneer artifacts; Dunlop Cabin, a pioneer log home; and Makaroff United Church, built in 1910. Demonstrations of a sawmill in operation or bread-making in clay ovens can be arranged.
Built in 1908 as the Knox United Church, this historic building is now home to the Life & Art Centre.
Market takes places Tuesdays (June 12 until end of August) from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the temporary Youth Centre on Main Street (next to the liquor store).

Roblin's 1906 CNR station closed in 1978, and is currently operating as a restaurant specializing in Austrian cuisine. The layout of the station remains the same as when it was built and original memorabilia is on display.
The walls of the first church were erected on June 21, 1887 and the new church was built in 1906. Tummel Church is the oldest church in the Rural Municipality of Shell River which is still active.
